This will be my 16th year with the Lower Dauphin School District. I am excited to be a part of such a great school and work with a solid team. I am still serving with the Air National Guard by just completing my 27th year of service. I spent 16 of those years in the Army as an M1A1 Tank Commander across the United States and overseas. Switching branches, I transferred over to the Air Force working as an Aerial Port Supervisor on the airfield. A few years back, I was able to deploy with my unit to Afghanistan for a seven month tour of duty. Through my military travels, I have lived in numerous states and even spent a short tour in South Korea. I hope to incorporate the experiences of my travels with the class in classroom discussions and lessons.
After moving back to Pennsylvania, I attended Penn State University and earned my teaching certificate. During this time, I have also earned my Masters Degree and a Principal's Certificate through Wilkes University. When I am not busy in the classroom, I enjoy refereeing soccer, riding motorcycle, and heading up to Happy Valley to hang out with 111,000 of my closest friends. #WeAre
I truly feel lucky to have the opportunity to work with children on a daily basis. I believe a classroom should have a community feel to it, where each student has a purpose and place. I hope you are looking forward to the coming school year as much as I am.
