Meet the Teacher

     Hello! I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you. My name is Mrs. Capion and I grew up in Palmyra, Pennsylvania. My husband and I currrently reside in Palmyra, and we have an energetic, rescue dog named Atticus. 

     After graduating from high school, I attended Lebanon Valley College. In 2015, I graduated with my Early Childhood Education degree. I substituted for two years at several different school districts, and then taught third grade at Nye for two years. This will be my first year teaching 1st grade at Nye and I am very excited!

      I am also currently a student, just like you! In the fall of 2018, I started studying at Penn State Harrisburg. I am currently working towards earning my master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction along with earning a coaching certification. 

      I absolutely love teaching and working with children! When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love baking, scrap booking, cross-stitching, and doing anything crafty! I also enjoy spending time outdoors. Camping, hiking, and taking my dog, Atticus, on walks are just some of my favorite outdoor activities.
