About me:

I am originally from a small town in western Pennsylvania called Home, PA. It is a real place, I promise! I graduated from high school in 2015, and went on to college at Indiana University Pennsylvania. Go hawks! I graduated in 2019 and received a dual certification Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood and Special Education. I received my Master's degree in Mathematics Education! To start my teaching career, I became a long-term substitute teacher in my home school district in the 2019-2020 school year. I got to work with EVERY grade level, which was an amazing experience! My husband and I moved to the Hummelstown area, and I started teaching as an online English as a second language (ESL) teacher to students learning English in other countries. I joined Nye in the 2021-22 school year as the learning support teacher for fourth and fifth grade. I loved fourth grade so much, and I am now fortunate enough to call fourth grade my "home"! This is my third year teaching 4th grade.

I got married in June of 2022 and I had my daughter in July of 2023! I currently live with my husband, daughter, and our three fur babies, Kodiak, Kona, and Niko. My little family means everything to me!

When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy being a mommy, cooking, baking, gardening, shopping, spending time outside, watching Pittsburgh Penguins hockey or the Steelers, playing with my pets, and spending time with friends and family.
