About Mrs. Swigert

Teaching has been a dream of mine since I was younger.  I graduated from Kutztown University with a degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. I also have a master's degree in Classroom Technology from Wilkes University.  I have been teaching 4th grade at East Hanover since 2006, but this year I am so excited to be teaching 1st grade!

When I am not enjoying myself in the classroom, I love spending time with my family.  My husband, Chris, and I have 3 kiddos: Kaylee (3rd grade), Camryn (2nd grade), and Kirby (2 years old).  I love to take them to the park and read stories to them.  As a family, we love doing anything outdoors and we are often found hiking, playing sports, or camping together.  I personally also love shopping for bargain buys, reading a good book, or working on a house project.
