I have been teaching special education at Nye Elementary for four years specializing in K-2 learning support.  Our program provides academic learning support as well as social thinking and social skills modeling and instruction.  I received my BSBA from Shippensburg University in 2000, my Pre-K-4 Teaching Certification from Wilson College, and my Special Education Certification from Penn State University. I am currently completing my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Penn State University. 

Outside of the classroom I am the proud parent of a son and daughter who attend Lower Dauphin High School.  I love gardening, hiking, and caring for a small farmette of animals.  I am also passionate about art specifically drawing and painting.  I try to incorporate these passions into my lessons to demonstrate a commitment life-long learning for my students.
